S&EC was brought in by the site civil engineer to determine the location and suitability of soil/site conditions for a new subsurface septic system for the restroom/bathhouse facility on Bear Island at Hammocks Beach State Park.
RDU Runway 5L/23R Replacement & Lumley Road Relocation Project
S&EC has provided environmental consulting services to the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) either directly or as a sub-consultant for several airport projects over the last 10+ years. One of the most recent and well-known projects being the replacement of Runway 5L/23R and the associated relocation of Lumley Road.

S&EC was brought in by the project architect and site civil engineer to assist with obtaining the on-site, subsurface septic system permit for this commercial building in Franklin County, NC.
Mingo Creek Development (Phases 7 & 12)
Mingo Creek is a multi-family residential development located in Knightdale, NC. These phases of the Mingo Creek project included two road crossings and one aerial sanitary sewer crossing over jurisdictional streams to provide necessary development infrastructure.
Red-cockaded Woodpecker Cavity Tree Survey - Pender County, NC
S&EC worked with Pender County officials to identify and document Red-cockaded Woodpecker cavity trees on a property located in the Grady Township in Pender County, NC.
